About the Author
David Mutchler has a wide and diverse background, which makes him one of those individuals who is difficult to “put in a box.” He is a quiet man who is affectionately known by those he works with as Dr. Dave. Always at the center of his work has been his love of people and the desire to help them define and reach their goals as a way to continually strive toward self-realization.
David was an honor student and athlete in undergraduate school. He carried his love for academic achievement and athleticism into his first career, where he taught science and mathematics, then later philosophy and psychology, all the while coaching his football players to championship caliber teams.
After furthering his education, he directed a counseling clinic and taught philosophy at a local university. Dr. Mutchler then opened his own consulting and training firm where he transitioned into the business world and worked with executives and managers on self-improvement, relationship management, and leadership development, and with sales professionals on the underlying psychological dynamics of selling. He has earned several honors as an outstanding teacher, trainer, and executive coach.
David has been committed to life-long learning, and as a result holds an undergraduate degree in education, masters degrees in philosophy and social work, a doctorate in psychology and has studied religion at the doctoral level.
He is a renowned author, speaker, and seminar leader who has brought to print in Beyond the Ego his commitment to help people achieve the fullness of what it means to be human by working through the struggles that ego causes everyone. Today he spends much of his time writing, speaking, leading seminars, and coaching individuals to reach for their highest potential.
